Message From The Commandant

It is my pleasure to welcome you all to the Malawi Defence Force Command Staff College (MDFCSC) Website. The MDFCSC comprises Junior and Senior Divisions entrusted with the primary function of developing the professional knowledge and understanding of junior and senior student officers of the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) and those from Allied countries to prepare them for senior responsibilities in command and staff work in national or multinational environment. I should highlight that since inception in 2021, the MDFCSC has made tremendous strides in developing and implementing research-based Professional Military Education (PME) programs to the middle and senior officers that enhance the intellectual and operational capacity of student officers in tackling contemporary emerging threats.
MDFCSC is a new college, but full of new ideas and capability. Therefore, the website managed by Information and Knowledge Management Section is a critical component of the college entrusted in managing knowledge repository and disseminating information on the website. Our curriculum offers both Military and Strategic Studies, nurturing student officers to be better prepared in working with security organs and the civilian community whom we serve. Our teaching approach is a student-centred, encouraging critical thinking, openness and sharing of best practices in the Malawi Defence Force and Allied nations. We believe through this, student officers will be well equipped to assist in national development and achieving Agenda 2063.
